Our story: A passion for Asia's taste

Kimao is more than just an online shop—it's the result of a deep passion for Asia and its unique flavors. It all began with a personal enthusiasm: Our founder, a longtime Asia fan with many friends from the region, repeatedly discovered fascinating beverages on his travels that were hard to find in Switzerland.

The spark of inspiration came during a trip to Japan: The enthusiasm for the cult drink Strong Zero and the simple question "Why don't we have this fantastic drink here?!" were the starting point for Kimao . This was followed by an intensive search for suppliers and the decision to finally bring this and other hard-to-find Asian specialties to Switzerland.
